As a company with a long history in Lawrence, we truly believe in this quote and are continuously looking for ways to give back to our community. We serve our social impact statement with actions, not just words. This summer, we launched some new and exciting community initiatives which included team volunteering, corporate donations and pro bono print and marketing services.

Research increasingly shows how gender affects the peer-review process, and how it doesn’t. For example, some studies indicate that editor gender appears to have some influence over gender diversity among peer reviewers, but gender of authors, editors and reviewers may not necessarily influence which papers are accepted or rejected.

Each year, the Salvation Army of Douglas County collaborates with Ballard Community Services, ECKAN , The United Way, Lawrence Rotary Club, Hallmark, First United Methodist Church, Great Plains Media and the Douglas County Community Foundation for the Back 2 School Supply Drive, a charitable cause focused on helping Lawrence kids from Pre-Kindergarten to 12^th Grade get the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.
